Romance and luxury cruises

Luxury cruises have definitely many lovers as well as others who just hate them. The ones who claim to hate them haven’t necessarily tried one and their have a rather stereotypical opinion. For many people they are just remnants of the first half of the 20th century, the time when so many luxurious cruise boats were shipped. The Britannic and Titanic are two of the big names but mainly because they were sunk. Some of the biggest and most luxurious boats ended people’s lives in a tragic way and this is why people are still talking about them.

Watching the Titanic when I was still a teenager I was amazed by the size, wealth and all that incredible amount of money spent for the construction of a luxurious boat, which was meant to be unsinkable. My relatives who had immigrated to the United States were visiting us in England almost every summer, always in a cruise as they didn’t want to risk getting in a plane. They seemed to enjoy it so much talking about those cruises that we didn’t have much chance to interrupt them and talk about our things.

The romance, is a large part of the reason that luxury cruises appeal to so many people. After so many Hollywood made cruise films it seems extraordinary if anyone will ever get in a cruise without falling in love with that beautiful and aristocratic man/woman. At the same time I knew that my budget wouldn’t make it very possible to try any of those 5 star cruises my aunties were so enthusiastic about. Sometimes they were even talking about those amazing Silver Sea cruises or about those Oceania cruises that it became one of my dreams into the child’s mind.

It all changed though after my wife won a pair of tickets for a luxury cruise in a competition and I was forced to join her. I definitely recommend it to all open minded people and those who like having their own experience before making any judgments.

Great luxury cruises

Luxury cruises have definitely many lovers as well as others who just hate them. The ones who claim to hate them haven’t necessarily tried one and their have a rather stereotypical opinion. Because the industry was created and reached its heyday during the first half of the twentieth century that doesn’t mean that they belong to the past. Names such as the Titanic or the Britannic sound mythical for today’s standards but up to this day there are great boats all around the world. Most of them had a tragic end and that is that thrilled many people and made those boats mythical.

Watching the Titanic when I was still a teenager I was amazed by the size, wealth and all that incredible amount of money spent for the construction of a luxurious boat, which was meant to be unsinkable. My aunties who were living in the US, were coming to Europe every year on a cruise boat, not because it they were cheap but because they were afraid of planes. They could be talking for hours and hours about incidents that took place in the Atlantic and about those great people they met on board.

My mind changed completely after I had the chance to experience one cruise with my family. It didn’t stop there though and since then I’ve been in a cruise 3 more times.

A Walking Holiday Is Actually For Everyone

Many people feel that walking holidays are for the old people and of course the younger couples that want a bit of adventure but this is really not true as many more people such as families would benefit from a trip away like this one.

Kids love the outdoors at least mine ones do and they simply jumped at the chance to go on one of these holidays because they had not been to the location that we were planning on visiting. The decision had been made to go on one of those Costa Rica holidays just because we thought we needed a break.

One of my personal favourite things about a holiday like this one is that there is not really a single piece of technology in site which means it gives the eyes a break certainly for me and the kids anyway. I love my video games as do my kids so getting away to a place like this really did help us all because our eyes were not subject to the usual stuff we see but nature which is a great alternative.

Active holidays are really a good way to get away from the stresses of life and as soon as you are in the big outdoors you just know that you have done the correct thing in staying out there. When you are out in a place like this you get to see the world for what it really is and the wife and I would always try to be up to watch the glorious sun rises.

The kids already want to go back on a trip similar to this one which I am surprised about. I will have to wait until next year as I have promised them a trip to Disney this year.
