A trip around the world usually involves you walking long distances and staying in varied accommodation, so you need to make sure that you have clothes for all occasions, yet still stay light. Just pack a few t-shirts and only one or two jumpers, you need to keep light and adding all of this will weigh you down. Two pairs of jeans will do you fine, don’t take any more, maybe a couple of pairs of shorts. Underwear is very important, it won’t be able to get washed everyday so take plenty of it with you. Jeans can last for around a week, and although we don’t wear them that long, they can get dirty and still be OK. Without going into the specifics, you will need to change underwear everyday, just make sure that you get the chance to wash it all once a week, for safety measures!

Never ever leave without a sleeping bag. The level of quality for all the hotels won’t be the most amazing, and you may find that you need a sleeping bag for extra warmth. Some places that even have accommodation will be quite cold, this is where you find that one piece of luggage really helps. Luxury holidays this is certainly not, in fact it is quite a messy experience. Some countries require you to where some more “water resistant” clothing, but never fear, as long as you have your umbrella you will be fine. You may not think it but an umbrella will really help out.

Caribbean holidays and Maldives holidays finding these on your round the world trip is very unlikely, but they make great luxury stop overs!

It is home to most of the Island’s restaurants, bars, stores and dive centers, and pretty much every visitor to St. Johns spend at least a little time there. However, despite being the center of commerce for the Island, it would definitely still be called quiet rather than busy. Rain is infrequent, so leave your umbrella at home and bring lots of sunscreen.

The U.S. Virgin Islands attract millions of tourists each and every year, and with good reason too. Staying in either Cruz Bay or Coral Bay, which are the two main towns on the Island, allows easy access to restaurants and shops. There are plenty of hotels, villas and resorts to choose from, which range from the quaint to the exceedingly lavish. Making reservations early is always advisable as finding anywhere to stay at the last minute is normally impossible.

Luxury resorts tend to be the preferred choice. Most lead directly on to the beach, offer amazing views, and provide full guest services. You literally would not have to leave the resort if you did not want to. For those looking for seclusion and tranquility, there are few places in the world that can match it.

It will be an expensive booking to get here, however when you arrive, you will find the cost for anything there to be ridiculously cheap? Well first and foremost it is cheap. Getting there may cost a fair bit of money but once you are there, spending won’t really be happening all that much. If you get yourself a really nice hotel, you’re in for a right treat. You will be treated like a king, great room service at all hotels, and at most you will have great day spa facilities. There is also a lovely chance for you to indulge in a safari, the majority of the time people like to explore this country, and this activity allows you to do this. If your looking for something fun and exciting then a safari through the Sri Lankan jungles and forests is a sure way to find it. There is a lot of ways for people to enjoy themselves on holiday in Sri Lanka.

Now although this is a great place for people to visit, there do just happen to be a few disadvantages to this holiday. The weather is one of the main reasons that would put you off from heading out to this glorious and beautiful location. This rain comes down like a tidal wave. However some down’t mind the rain, the only problem is that this isn’t the nly annoying thing about Sri Lanka. Unfortunately the country is in a civil war (which is supposed to have ended) but things are still a little tense. One mistake many people make is wandering off into the wilderness alone, just make sure that someone is with you at all times. I can’t stand needles, so the injections that you need for certain parts of Sri Lanka simply aren’t worth it for me!

Sri Lanka holidays have become very popular, but if you want something more relaxing and less dangerous, you should try Maldives holidays or Caribbean holidays!

1. Trinidad is somewhere I would seriously recommend steering clear of. Take control of the ship that is heading there and turn around! Tourists are in a massive amount of trouble if they get onto the wrong side of Trinidad, with tourist deaths being very high. Some of the people care nothing about you, all they want and need is your money and goods.
2. Haiti is another place similar to Trinidad. Just like Trinidad Haiti is quite dangerous as well, some people in this country consider stealing as entrepreneurial, not a country that you want to take a lot of money too!
3. Try your best to avoid Puerto Rico, now I am not suggesting that there is something wrong here, its just not the best of all the Caribbean Islands, you could find yourself very disappointed with the holiday that you have received!
4. Bermuda, but only if you are superstitious. Otherwise Bermuda can be very nice is some places. Bermuda is actually made of many islands, just make sure that you go to mainland Bermuda otherwise you could have a very lonely and boring holiday!
5. Jamaica is one of those places that if you are going to enjoy it, you need to have a large amount of money in order to do so. Unless you can get to a private hotel and beach, then I would travel to a different island insead.

There are so many fantastic islands to be recommended, St lucia holidays are relaxing and luxurious, not to mention modest in price, Barbados holidays are another one but for the younger generation, and finally you can try out Cuba holidays, which have improved greatly.
