The Virtual holiday Computer system!
Our holiday was here and we were ready to go, and then my Fiancee came down with some really bad food poisoning, the holiday was now out of the question. We had just about saved up enough time on holiday for this vacation, but we didn’t have any more to spare for the rest of the year, so it was really now or never. We couldn’t actually do anything now, we were just sitting at home.
We managed to cancel the holiday and somebody referred us to a site on the internet. What an earth is a Virtual holiday, i wasn’t at all sure about this. If you can’t move about easily then this is great, the site takes you through all the cities you want. It’s a great opportunity for those that can’t actually leave the bed, to view these holiday experiences.
This didn’t really appeal to me at first; I thought that this can hardly be fun. I pictured this thing to be a bit boring and not at all informative, sort of like a trailer for a holiday.
This was actually a lot more diverse and more intricate than I could imagine. We paid for one of these holidays, although there are some sites that do this for free for those that can’t leave the house. We paid for a tour round New York, which is where we were going to go. The tour included several locations, clearly labelling to us where it was we would be going, and what we would be seeing. We went into this video expecting only a small tour of the city, and we got so much more out of it, exploring museums and seeing all the great sights.
We got everything out of this virtual holiday that we really wanted. After trying this, I honestly believe that they could be a big thing, mainly for those that are Disabled.
We had fun trying this holiday, although it isnt the same as the actual thing, it is similar, we would like to try the Egypt holidays or Maldives holidays one, where the experiences are far too pricey for us to try, maybe Christmas holidays just got a lot cheaper?
