Dangerous Sharks: Not Really
People that are always going on about how sharks are really bad and are killing humans on purpose are very ignorant. There are over 300 species of shark and only 40 of these have ever been known to actually have attacked a human being. So where does all of this nonsense of sharks being one of the deadliest creatures on the planet come from?
Movies
Massive films such as Jaws and Deep Blue Sea have really not helped when it comes to peoples opinions of the creatures. the chances are that if you do actually spot a great white when you are diving it will not come over and kill you, the media tend to go on about how bad sharks are but they are not and most of the time they do it because you are swimming in their ground. Of course this is all a load of rubbish as a shark will never just go in and attack someone unless they are provoked or starving. Film makers are always putting the shark out to be the bad guy and if you sit down and think about it, we are the ones in their sea!
Water sports
The things that human beings do in the water have increased in popularity over the last few years and sharks will often mistake humans on surfboards and inflatable devices as small seals. The seal is actually one of the main creatures of prey that the shark tends to go after which is why they sometimes get humans.
The Press
Newspapers really have no sympathy at all when it comes to sharks and they are really out to get them because the amount of shark attacks that we see across the world look up.
Reality
Do not worry about being killed if you are off on a trip to see some sharks in action. Tryred sea diving holidays or of courseSharm el sheikh diving if you fancy swimming with the “enemy” or in normal terms, going on one of thosediving holidays.
